Ramos sends touching message to injured Shaw despite being booed by England fans

- Manchester United defender Luke Shaw suffered a terrible injury in England's slim defeat to Spain - The left-back was stretched out of the pitch after colliding against Carvajal in the second half - After the game, Real Madrid captain Ramos sent a get well soon message to the defender

Spain came from one goal down to beat England 2-1 in their Europe Nations League clash at the Wembley Stadium on Saturday, September 8. Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford opened scoring for the Three Lions but a goal each from Saul Niguez and Rodrigo ensured the 2010 World Cup winners emerge victoriously. Meanwhile, Luke Shaw was stretched out of the game early in the second half after colliding with Real Madrid star Daniel Carvajal in the 47th minute of the game.

He was treated by 10 medical staff on the pitch for over six minutes and had to be provided with oxygen. And after the game, Sergio Ramos sent a touching message to the injured Red Devils star - telling him to get back on his feet quick. The center back was also booed by the England fans following his role in the Champions League final. After England confirmed Shaw was 'awake and alert', Ramos wrote on his social media page: "Get well soon Luke Shaw". Gareth Southgate also offered a positive update on Shaw's injury, while the fullback himself also reassured fans that he felt fine afterward. Southgate said: "He’s sat up in the dressing room and talking and seems fairly comfortable. "We’ll have to assess him a bit more overnight and tomorrow. But that’s definitely a good sign anyway." Shaw tweeted: "Thank you for all the love and support I am doing fine and am in the best hands. I’m a fighter so I will be back soon!"

it was earlier reported that Manchester United defender, Luke Shaw, was forced off the pitch on a stretcher during England's UEFA Nations League opener against Spain at Wembley stadium. This was Shaw's first match for England since he was recalled to the national team by England manager, Gareth Southgate. However, the full-back's night took a horrific turn after his collision with Spain's Daniel Carvajal in the second-half while competing for the ball.
