Tottenham goalkeeper, Hugo Lloris, could be stripped of the club’s captain armband.
This is besides being slapped with a fine by the club after being charged with drink driving on Friday.
The France captain was arrested in London in the early hours of Friday as he drove home after a boozy night out with Arsenal’s Laurent Koscielny and Chelsea’s Olivier Giroud.
The 31-year-old is already billed to appear in court next month.
A £240,000 club fine is being touted as further punishment by Daniel Levy, Spurs chairman.
The goalkeeper has, however, issued a statement last night via the club’s website, saying, “I wish to apologize wholeheartedly to my family, the club, my team-mates, the manager and all of the supporters.
“Drink-driving is completely unacceptable. I take full responsibility for my actions and it is not the example I wish to set.”
