Reports circulating in the social media space have it that Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) duo of Blaise Matuidi and Marco Verratti had a wild party with pop star Rihanna hours before they suffered the epic bashing in the hands of Barcelona.
The French champions were condemned to a 6 – 1 defeat on Wednesday, March 8, a tie many described as the most unbelievable come-backs of all time.
The UEFA Champions League round of 16 fixture between the sides is still the talk of town as Barcelona who lost the first-leg in Paris 4 – 0 overcame the PSG in a spectacular style to win it 6 – 5 on aggregates to cruise to the quarter-final.
However, the new twist that some
PSG players ‘digged-it-out’ with Rihanna hours before the epic second
leg has left many furious as well as disappointed, but the club has
released an official statement saying it is not true.
In a statement released via their Twitter page, they accused the reports of “insulting their professionalism and the club,” the club wrote in French.
Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid are now
through to the quarter-finals. Four more teams are expected to join the
quartet by March 15, before the quarter-final draws will be made
