Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has been named the Premier League Manager of the month for February.
The
46-year-old Spaniard was selected for the award ahead of Chelsea boss
Antonio Conte, Manchester United's Jose Mourinho and West Brom's Tony
Pulis, who all won twice but drew once in February.
On
his part, Guardiola guided his side to three wins from as many matches,
helping City to their current position of third in the table.
City began the month with a 4-0
win at West Ham United, then triumphed 2-1 at home to Swansea City
thanks to Gabriel Jesus' late goal before they won 2-0 away at
Bournemouth.
However, Guardiola’s side struggled to a goalless draw at home to Stoke City on Wednesday night, March 8.
This is Pep Guardiola first manager of the month award since he joined Man City last summer.
Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspurs
striker Harry Kane was also named Player of the Month after banging in
four goals in three games for his team last month.
While Chelsea ace Eden Hazard won Goal of the Month for his wonder strike against Arsenal.
Hazard ran from inside his own half before firing past Petr Cech as the Blues ran out 3-1 winners against their London rivals.
And
after winning the Premier League accolade, the Belgium winger admitted
it was “fantastic” – before targeting even more silverware over the next
couple of months.
He said: “It is
always good to win trophies. It is not my most important target to win
Goal of the Month, I want to win big trophies at the end of the season."
