- Ryan Giggs is interested in replacing Ronald Koeman at Everton

- The Welshman is also keen on the Leicester City Job

- Giggs's only managerial experience was as an interim replacement for David Moyes

Former Manchester United winger Ryan Giggs has shown his interest in the vacant Everton job following Ronaldo Koeman's sack yesterday, Monday 23, 2017. The 43-year-old has also indicated an interest in the vacant Leicester role as he desperately tries to get back into management. He said: “You look at those two teams, Leicester being champions two seasons ago, Everton being a fantastic club with a fantastic history, for me these are clubs I would be interested in. “However, there are a lot of coaches out there who would be interested in those positions."

The Manchester United said he would however only be interested in club who share the same ambitions as himself. “I’ve said all along that I’d be open to clubs which share the ambitions of myself. I want to improve clubs and improve players, to enjoy working for them and for players to enjoy the challenge. “There are clubs in the Premier League which would be good jobs but also in the Championship and League One. It’s more about the philosophy for me than the stature of the club.” However its not looking like Everton might be interested in the former Welsh international as they are looking at a wider range for a permanent boss. Former Borussia Dortmund boss Thomas Tuchel and Burnley’s Sean Dyche will be considered while Watford boss Marco Silva has also been linked to the Toffees.

Ex-Chelsea, AC Milan and Bayern Munich boss Carlo Ancelotti is also admired by Everton’s major investor Farhad Moshiri. But it is understood it would take a huge offer to make the Italian reconsider a break from football.
